Description
Richard Worth wishes to reclaim his place in Society, and he does so by offering for the hand of the well-born but penniless Caroline Hutton. The eve of their marriage is shadowed by a brutal murder in which both are surprisingly implicated. This moody and neatly plotted murder mystery/romance is set in early 18th century London.
